About Us

Our Mission

To Fight Poverty and Strengthen Communities Through Soccer

Our History

Street Soccer USA was founded in 2009 by two brothers out of a homeless soup kitchen in Charlotte, NC. That single team has grown into a national non-profit organization in 16 cities (and growing), helping over 75,000 players in some of the country’s most-challenged neighborhoods.

Recognition

  • Winner of the ESPN Sport Humanitarian Award
  • NYU Sport & Business Society’s Philanthropy Award
  • Creators of the Times Square Cup and the SSUSA Cup Series
  • Official and Exclusive U.S. Partner of the Homeless World Cup
  • Official and Exclusive U.S. Partner of the Street Child World Cup
  • Inventors of the Blue Card ™

Our Goal

To provide an alternative to the pay-to-play model of youth soccer in the United States for the 11m youth living at or below the poverty line in the United States with a focus on social impact.

Our Work

Our Street Soccer Cup, Parks, and Programs work together to form a sustainable and scalable model that builds from the bottom up, one relationship at a time.

Learn about our ParksProgramsCups, and Partners.

Our Players

We provide programming to youth ages 4 and up, including homeless families, adults and people in recovery. We focus our efforts on neighborhoods where 33% or residents live below the poverty line and where graduation rates are between 55-65%.
