I PLAY FOR San Francisco: Adult Soccer League:
The I PLAY FOR SF adult soccer league is operated and managed by Street Soccer USA. The aim of the league is to deliver a well-managed, fun, competitive and safe recreational soccer opportunity for the San Francisco Bay Area community. All league profits will help fund the delivery of the Street Soccer USA social service program.
Street Soccer USA:
Street Soccer USA (SSUSA) is a 501(c)3 unique non-profit social enterprise located in 20 cities across the Unites States. SSUSA specializes in delivering a curriculum of job and life skills to homeless youth and adults. 75% of SSUSA participants connect to job, housing, education or treatment within a year of joining the program. SSUSA also hosts a series of large tournaments and soccer leagues/events. League Director:
Social entreprenuer Rob Cann is the Director of Street Soccer USA and the founder of I PLAY FOR SF. He joined Street Soccer USA shortly after its founding and has been involved in the development of the program nationally since 2007. Rob, who lives in San Francisco, has produced the nation's premier sports for social change event, the Street Soccer USA National Cup since 2008. Most recently the event was held in Times Square, New York City, featuring over 50 teams. Rob holds a Masters in Sport Managment from the University of San Francisco and played Division I soccer at East Carolina University.
