On April 3rd, Street Soccer USA opened its newest NYC pitch in Red Hook, Brooklyn. To celebrate the new addition, SSUSA worked closely with Councilman Carlos Menchaca to throw a community festival, Street Soccer Red Hook Fest!
This free festival was the first of its kind and enjoyed by more than 200 soccer-happy youths. The festival featured a ribbon cutting ceremony, more than FIVE soccer pitches to accommodate players of all ages, face-painting, photo booths, a soccer cage, and a showcase match including SSUSA staff, CM Menchaca, Buenavista representatives, and professional players from Sky Blue FC.
