Today, Netflix releases a new film: The Beautiful Game. Now available for streaming. It’s a fictionalized feature film, starring Academy Award winning actor Bill Nighy, that tells the story of the real-life Homeless World Cup.
Street Soccer USA is referenced by name and our logo on the American team’s uniform features throughout the film. Viewers will be even more proud to see the familiar faces of several Street Soccer USA staff and formerly homeless players from our programs making their acting debut, appearing in the crowd, on the field, and one even scoring a smashing goal in the semifinal!
