Street Soccer USA to Absorb Kyle Martino’s Over Under Initiative to Further Orgs Common Mission Ahead of FIFA World Cup 2026
Tuesday, December 3rd, New York, NY— Street Soccer USA (SSUSA), a national nonprofit recognized for its expertise in implementing and sustaining street soccer programs for underserved communities, is proud to announce its absorption of the Over Under Initiative (OUI). Founded by former professional, Kyle Martino, OUI has revolutionized access to sports by converting blacktops into vibrant multi-sport spaces. Ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the OUI / SSUSA integration will bolster Street Soccer USA’s grassroots efforts, offering both youth and adults expanded opportunities to play soccer and build community.
For years, Martino has collaborated with Street Soccer USA, having previously served as a board member, board chair, and playing a key role in its growth. Incorporating Over Under Initiative will enhance Street Soccer USA as it develops bottom-up community networks as the excitement for the 2026 World Cup builds.

Its integration into Street Soccer USA strengthens a suite of programmatic and infrastructure solutions that includes Street Soccer Parks and Street Soccer Cups—initiatives designed to inspire participation, sustain community engagement, and grow access to no-cost soccer programming.
