Street Soccer USA – Bay Area Opens 2 Parks in Civic Center!

At Street Soccer USA we have 5 core values and beliefs that define our culture and describe how we shape our programs.

SSUSA Value # 2 : “WE BELIEVE IN MAKING SPACE

We transform abandoned places into places of opportunity. The fields we build are not just physical spaces for community members to come together, but it is also a state of mind. We are creating rallying point for positive activity that sets off a ripple effect throughout the community.

SSUSA Bay Area’s new Parks at Civic Center have become just this, a place for participants and the community together. These Parks gives players more touches on the ball, more opportunities to score goals and more ways to have fun.

Why is that? – It is approximately 20 times smaller than a standard soccer field and with it’s official 4v4 style it gives the players more time on the ball.

Located in the heart of San Francisco, The Civic Center Parks are surrounded by emblematic cultural points such as the City Hall, Pioneer Monument, Asian Art Museum and the SF Public Library which brings an amazing atmosphere to players, spectators and passers.

To make this happen Street Soccer USA joined forces with Rec and Parks, Civic Center Commons, SFMTA, SF Planning and with all the efforts, the new park at the Civic Center is a place to host SSUSA Programs, Lava Mae, America Scores as well as free drop-ins and pick up games.

Managing the Street Soccer Park with a number of passionate individuals aboard is an incomparable experience that we get to share with the community. It simply brings the best of everyone and as a result, sportsmanship, fair play and respect become contagious on and off the pitch, it brings us together and that’s how we all win!

And with mentioning everything above – the annual SF Cup is right around the corner and will take place at the new SSUSA Park at Civic Center on Sunday, July 28th.

Teams from all ages and backgrounds will come together to share and celebrate their diversity and passion for our city in our Social Impact, Corporate and Open Cup competitions. Come join us!
