Going for Goal: Pre Med at Cal Berkeley

Mustapha was at risk of dropping out of school. A resident of the Tenderloin neighborhood in San Francisco, he loved soccer but had nowhere to play until he found Street Soccer. He learned to translate his passion and focus for soccer into goal setting and dedication in school.  It paid off. Mustapha went from a struggling student to a top performer and gained entrance to Cal Berkeley where he is a now a pre-med student

Homeless to Carnegie Mellon

Sammie was 13 years old and sleeping with her mother (left) in her car when a counselor referred Sammie to Street Soccer USA in East New York, Brooklyn. She embraced the team and developed into a leader. Our staff helped her apply to a top academic public high school. Four years later she earned a full scholarship to Carnegie Mellon University
